Terms of Service
Last updated 10 September 2026
Cadence is a personal cloud music player operated by Mayur Kakade, India. You upload music you already own; we store it, organise it, and play it back on your devices. These terms cover using the service at music.mayurkakade.com and in the Cadence apps.
Your account
You need an account to use Cadence, and you must verify your email address before you can add music. Keep your password to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
What Cadence is, and what it is not
Cadence is a storage locker for music you already have the right to keep. It is not a streaming service and it does not supply music. We do not have a catalogue, we do not recommend or provide recordings, and there is nothing here to browse except what you put in yourself.
Every account is sealed. Importing and exporting are the only ways audio moves in or out. Specifically:
- Your music is never shared with, or made visible to, another account.
- Audio is never deduplicated across accounts — two people uploading the same file each get their own complete copy under their own storage.
- There is no public link, no shared library, and no way to distribute a file to anyone else through Cadence.
What you upload
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your files, to process them so they can be organised and played back, and to deliver them to your own devices.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to store, and do not use Cadence to distribute anything to anyone. If we receive a valid infringement complaint we may remove the file in question, and accounts that repeatedly attract valid complaints may be suspended.
Plans and payment
Every account starts free with 1 GB of storage. A paid plan raises this to 5 GB for ₹236 per month, which is ₹200 plus 18% GST. You can also support the project without changing your storage: ₹57.82 per month (₹49 plus GST), or a one-time amount in multiples of ₹100 plus GST. Support grants a Premium badge shown in your own app — it is a thank-you, it never unlocks a feature, and nobody else sees it.
Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. All purchases happen on this website; nothing is bought inside the apps.
Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. Prices shown to you include GST and are the amount charged. If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep the paid plan until then. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the detail.
If a renewal payment fails, we keep your plan active while Razorpay retries. Only once those retries are exhausted does the plan end and the account return to the free allowance.
Storage limits and inactive accounts
If you go over your storage allowance, we tell you and give you 90 days to free up space or move to a larger plan. During that time you can still play and export everything you have; only adding more is paused. Nothing is deleted without warning.
If an account is untouched for 24 months we treat it as dormant and email you. You then have at least 90 days, with reminders, before anything is removed. Signing in stops this at any point.
You can export your whole library at any time, on any plan, including while over your allowance. That does not change.
Ending the service
You can delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to distribute other people's material, or where we are required to by law. If we ever shut Cadence down, we will give reasonable notice and time to export.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Cadence running, but it is provided as-is: we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable — Cadence is a convenient place to keep your music, not a substitute for a backup.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
